This past year, Dr. Kristianne Macaraeg, our pediatric dentist here at Surfside Smile Co. in Middletown, NJ, was included on two lists: Incisal Edge magazine's 2026 "40 Under 40" and NJ Family's list of New Jersey's Favorite Kids' Docs and Dentists.
One list came from people in the dental field. The other came from local parents. We're grateful for both, and we wanted to share them here because they're really about all of you. The families who bring their kids to see us and the team who cares for them every day are a big part of this.
Incisal Edge is a dental magazine, and every year it puts together a 40 Under 40 list of dentists from around the country. Dental professionals submit nominations, and an independent panel makes the final picks.

Her nomination focused on the care she's provided from the start: treating kids, including those with special health care needs.
Dr. Kristianne attended dental school at the University of Pennsylvania, then completed her pediatric dentistry residency at Penn and Children's Hospital of Philadelphia. While she was there, she worked on research involving patients with autism spectrum disorder.
CHOP still means a lot to us. Last year, some of our patients turned our office into craft central for an afternoon, making bracelets for the Loving Lucy Campaign at CHOP. You can see photos from our bead-making day here.
We now see more than 2,000 active patients, and we're thankful for every family who chose us.
NJ Family puts together a yearly list of New Jersey's Favorite Kids' Docs and Dentists, and Dr. Kristianne was included on the 2025 list in the Pediatric Dentistry category.
